May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month to recognize, appreciate, and celebrate the vibrant and diverse culture of Asian Americans. This event is a nationally recognized celebration designated by former U.S Presidents and Congress. It is intended to mark the importance of Asian Americans within our communities.

PREMIERE EVENT CELEBRATING ASIAN AMERICANS

Celebrate Asia 2011 will be a night of entertainment filled with celebrities from various Asian countries, flying to Jacksonville, Florida, especially to support this inaugural event. It will be a fun-filled festivity showcasing dancing lions and dragons, Asian celebrities, live Asian music, traditional Asian cuisine, ballroom dancing and more… all in Jacksonville, Florida. We party with our Asian celebrities from as far as Loas, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore!

The Experience:

Several hundred people  will be dressed up in  the many flavors  of  colors, designs, and varieties of traditional Asian attires like : Khmer dresses,  Filipino Barongs, Saris, Hanbok, Ao Dais, Song Koks, Emperor & Empress costumes, Kimonos, Geishas , Thai dancers with long nails and more!




Food: 

The evening will be filled with a lot of cuisine that you would not find in a traditional Asian restaurant.  Taste the “authentic home cooking” ect. Whole pigs (Filipino and Chinese style), Peking Duck, Sticky Rice, Papaya Salad etc.

Dancing:

We will have Ballroom Dancing in Asian style!!!

Hatsume Fair 2011 - 3/19/11 - 3/20/11

The 32nd annual Hatsume Fair promises to be a spectacular event for the entire family! Celebrating the first bud of spring, Hatsume, the Morikami’s largest annual event, transforms the normally tranquil Morikami Park into a unique Japanese spring festival. The event will feature three stages of continuous entertainment where guests can experience taiko drumming performances, martial art and bonsai demonstrations, cosplay contest and much more! Avenues of artisan booths, anime dealers, plant sales, Asian and American food vendors, the Kirin Beer Garden, children’s activities, and a Bonsai exploration area will also be featured and are sure to delight festival-goers.
